Is YardLink free for people inside?▾
Yes. Inmates on supported facilities receive messages at no cost. Families pay only to send — and our rates start at a fraction of what traditional prison messaging services charge.
Do you share data with prisons or law enforcement?▾
No. We have never and will never share your messages, contacts, or personal information with correctional facilities, police departments, or immigration agencies. Your data is yours.
Does my family member need a tablet to receive messages?▾
Yes — for now. YardLink works through approved prison tablet systems. We currently support a growing list of facilities; if your family member's facility isn't on the list yet, you can still sign up and we'll notify you when they come online.
How is this different from JPay or correction.com?▾
Lower costs, stronger privacy guarantees, and a product built by people who have family on the inside — not a government contractor. We're also free to receive, which most platforms aren't.
Can I use YardLink after I'm released?▾
Absolutely. YardLink works on the outside too. Your account, your connections, your message history — it all comes with you. We designed it that way.
